Dear William,

If you look at The Census Project's supporters and management (particularly Ms. Lowenthal who has for years worked for a number of Democratic officials including President Obama), I think it is fair to characterize The Census Project as a left-wing organization. I am not passing judgment on the news reports that this organization provides, and I feel that it serves an excellent educational purpose. Rather, I am informing readers that they should be aware that what they are reading could possible have a slant/agenda.

Best,

Stephen

I was taken aback by your characterization of The Census Project as a "left-wing 2010 Census advocacy group." Census advocacy group, yes certainly. But as I understand it, The Census Project represents a broad range of census stake holders -- some leaning left, some leaning right, and most just concerned, like the rest of us, that we have as good a census as possible.

I hope My Two Census does not equate support for the 2010 Census purely with "left-wing advocacy."
